1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the American Academy of Professional Studies ("AAPS," "we," "us," or "our") website located at american-aaps.org (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Definitions

• "User" refers to any individual accessing the website, including prospective learners, certified professionals, and partner organizations.
• "Certification" refers to the professional credential issued by AAPS based on successful assessment, not an academic degree.
• "ELC" refers to an Education and Learning Center that has received AAPS Voluntary Recognition to deliver preparatory programs.

3. Use of Our Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not use the site to:

• Submit false or misleading information during application or verification processes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the AAPS portals, systems, or databases.
• Misrepresent your AAPS credential status or use AAPS logos without authorization.
• Use automated scripts or bots to extract data from the AAPS Public Register.

4. Certifications and Assessments

AAPS grants professional certifications solely based on predefined eligibility criteria and successful completion of independent assessments. AAPS certifications do not constitute academic degrees, nor do they guarantee employment, professional licensing, or recognition by government regulatory bodies.

AAPS reserves the right to suspend or revoke any certification if the holder is found to have committed malpractice, provided false information, or violated the AAPS Code of Ethics.

5. Payments and Refunds

Fees for membership, certification applications, and assessments are listed on the website. All fees are billed in USD.

Membership fees are non-refundable and do not auto-renew. Certification application fees are non-refundable once the assessment has been booked or attempted. Please refer to our detailed Refund and Cancellation Policy for specific guidelines.

6. Provider Recognition (ELC)

AAPS Voluntary Recognition is a private quality assurance framework. It does not imply official government accreditation. Recognized ELCs are independent entities and are solely responsible for their own operational liabilities, instructional quality, and learner contracts. AAPS is not liable for the actions or obligations of any ELC.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through email correspondence or binding arbitration in Delaware.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will attempt to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
